Privacy Policy

Latch Tuner does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The app has no network functionality at all.

Audio and the microphone

Latch Tuner analyses audio to detect pitch. Audio reaches the app in one of two ways:

• In the standalone app, through the device microphone, which requires your permission.
• As an Audio Unit (AUv3) plug-in, from the channel it is inserted on inside your host app.

In both cases the audio is analysed in real time on your device and immediately discarded. It is never recorded, never written to storage, and never sent anywhere. Microphone permission can be revoked at any time in the iOS Settings app; the plug-in requires no permissions.

Settings stored on your device

Your preferences — reference pitch, octave convention, and mode — are saved locally on your device so the app remembers them between launches. This information stays on your device and is not accessible to us.

Third parties

Latch Tuner includes no third-party code, no software development kits, and no services that could collect information about you.

Purchases

Latch Tuner is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Any information involved in that transaction is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details or any information that identifies you personally.

Children

Latch Tuner collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Because the app collects nothing, material changes are unlikely.
